What is the ARROJO Ambassador Program?

The ARROJO Ambassador Program shares ARROJO hair products with salons that join us as ‘Ambassadors.’ The concept ties our products to our education and uses the experience and expertise of our world-class team to help all Ambassadors grow their business through improved hairdressing performance.

For every dollar of ARROJO product an Ambassador purchases for back-bar and/or retail in their own salon, we give the Ambassador salon Reward Dollars that can be used to provide our advanced, professional-to-professional education to their team.

All products in the line are used professionally at ARROJO Studio, Advanced Academy, Cosmetology School, and at our Ambassador salons. Each product is salon-tried-and-tested by Nick Arrojo and ARROJO master stylists. If it doesn’t match the standards we set, it doesn’t go on the shelf.

It is a direct relationship model, with no distributor in the middle. It gives you potential for greater than 50% gross profit for salon retail sales.

How do I become an Ambassador?

The first step is to complete the online application at www.arrojoprofessional.com. Your information is then reviewed against our selection criteria. Once approved, an initial order is placed, and supportive educational and merchandising materials are sent to you. All wholesale purchases thereafter are placed through www.arrojoprofessional.com. This process makes it easy for each salon owner/product manager to purchase products at their convenience.

We set standards for ourselves, and our selection criteria allows us to set standards for our Ambassadors, too. The criterion ensures all Ambassadors are partnering with a network of salons committed to excellence, professionalism, growth, and continued education.

Below is a guide to the standards ARROJO Ambassadors are expected to match:

  • A minimum number of five full-time stylists.
  • The salon serves a minimum of 175 clients a week.
  • The salon has its own Web site, and uses a salon software package.
  • The salon has a strong financial history and foundation for the future.
  • The salon maintains good staff retention and staff training.
  • The salon is involved in community initiatives: charities, urban renewal programs, etc.


What is a Signature Salon?

Signature salons have a greater level of commitment financially, and must use ARROJO products at the back-bar. Signature salons receive the entire range of products with their initial order, including the 1.7 oz travel sizes, back-bar liters, and station samples –– so you can introduce the products to salon clients. After purchasing the introductory offer, for every dollar spent you receive 20% back (in Reward Dollars) to be used towards the purchase of education or back-bar products. Signature salons are expected to purchase $10,000 of product, from us, per year, inclusive of the introductory purchase. Failure to meet the $10,000 requirement may result in your business becoming a Fellowship Salon.


What is a Fellowship Salon?

Fellowship salons have less of a commitment than Signature salons. After purchasing the introductory package, there is no minimum per year purchase requirement. After the introductory offer, for every dollar spent you receive 10% back (in Reward Dollars) to be used towards the purchase of education or back-bar products. There is no requirement that Fellowship salons use ARROJO product at the back-bar, however, the introductory offer does include one liter of each shampoo and conditioner, and one station sample of each styling product.


What are reward dollars, and how can I redeem them?

With every product purchase, Ambassadors receive ARROJO Reward Dollars that can be redeemed against ARROJO Advanced Education, products, and other supportive materials. Here’s what reward dollars can be used for:

  • To attend any of the nine seminars at the ARROJO advanced academy, NYC.
  • To purchase any of our educational DVDs.
  • To have educators come to you with education tailored to your salon needs.
  • To purchase ARROJO hair care as back-bar stock (1 liter sizes, only).
  • To purchase additional ARROJO product merchandising and marketing materials.


How can I place orders once I have purchased my introductory package?

Once their introductory order is processed, ARROJO Ambassador salons are given a password for entry into the www.arrojoprofessional.com store. This is where Ambassador salons re-order products at wholesale cost, and redeem Reward Dollars by purchasing educational DVD’s or back-bar products.


What quantities are recommended to purchase when re-ordering?

When re-ordering, Ambassador salons are required to order in inner packs. The number of products per inner pack ranges from 6-20 pieces. For example, Daily Shampoo 8.5 oz comes in an inner pack of 6 pieces. Thus, when re-ordering, you must purchase a minimum of 6 pieces.

The only products that can be ordered by the piece are the back-bar liters: Daily Shampoo and Conditioner 33.8oz, Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner 33.8 oz, Gentle Shampoo and Conditioner 33.8 oz and Color Save Shampoo and Conditioner 33.8 oz.


Are you still selling ARROJO product on your own Web site?

Yes, but there is a benefit to this for ARROJO Ambassador salons.

When purchasing product, our e-commerce consumers get a drop down box listing the Ambassador salon closest to their zip code. If they tick your box when asked if they also go to an ARROJO Ambassador salon, you get commission on the Web sale. If they tick no box, we’ll refer them to you as a salon that is committed to excellence and education.


What makes ARROJO product different than other product lines?

ARROJO product is not just another professional hairdressing brand. It has been developed to match the standards set by Nick Arrojo, and to meet the needs of professional hairstylists and consumers alike.

It is a contemporary, performance-driven concept. There is shampoo/conditioner combination for every hair type (daily, moisturizing, gentle, color save), a deep treatment, 14 styling products and 2 finishing products.

What truly sets this brand apart, however, is its modern-day versatility. In alignment with our desire to make hairstyling personalized, creative and fun, each product is purposely made to have cocktailing potential, multi-functional uses, features and benefits.


How many products make up the line?

ARROJO product is a twenty-five-piece product line.


Will the product line expand in the future?

ARROJO product is dedicated to providing the most performance and flexibility for hairdressers and consumers. As such new products are always in development, but they will only go to market once we are sure they meet our performance expectations. ARROJO Ambassadors will always be the first to know about new ARROJO products.

For example, we have just launched a sulfate and sodium-chloride free Gentle Shampoo and Conditioner, made with organic and natural ingredients. And our new Styling Whip, made with Argan Oil, is a different kind of lightweight styler, perfect for straight, wavy or curly hair. Released in January 2011 after intensive development by the ARROJO creative team, it is typical of our commitment to innovation in the hair product market place.


What is the price point of the line?

The salon retail price point of the line is between $12-$19. All products are designed to have cocktailing potential, which means it’s easy to maximize your retail sales. Being a direct to salon model, your gross profit should be higher than traditional lines.


What are the fragrances of the products?

Inspired by Nick’s English heritage, the fragrances have been created by Drom Fragrance House, Tribeca, NYC.

  • Rhubarb: Daily Shampoo and Conditioner, Hair Gel
  • Berry Musk: Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner, Detangling Foam
  • Linden Blossom: Color Save Shampoo and Conditioner, Hair Repair Masque, Set & Style Spray, Hydro Spray, Styling Whip
  • Lavender Pear: All other styling products


What ingredients are prominent in the line?

The key ingredient is Vitamin B5. The most sophisticated active ingredient available in hair care, it is proven to moisturize, create shine, anti-oxidize, smooth the cuticle, promote hair growth and cell production, and improve scalp circulation. Vitamin B5 adds strength and vitality, fullness, body, and sheen.

As the vitamin’s perfect compliment, ARROJO product is formulated with five essential minerals:

  • Zinc: anti-oxidizing and fights dandruff
  • Silicone: promotes thick, healthy hair growth, shine and luster.
  • Copper: nourishes and enlivens the scalp.
  • Iron: strengthens the hair shaft, preventing breakage.
  • Magnesium: energizes hair, promotes natural cell circulation

Rounding out the formula, rice and wheat based amino acids. These building blocks of protein increase the hair's water-holding capacity, in turn providing additional moisture to the cuticle. This makes hair stronger, less breakable, while maintaining optimum smoothness, elasticity, and movement.


Do you provide images and logos for my Web site?

Yes. We provide the ARROJO logo and product imagery upon acceptance into the program. We also provide shelf-talkers and other marketing collateral.


What is your method of payment?

As all product purchases are made via our professional website, the method of payment is credit card.
